Expert in the field of consumer protection law. Since 2016, Agnieszka has been associated with Modzelewska&Paśnik law firm. She has been working nearly eight years in the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, where she specialized in consumer protection matters; she led the team for telecommunications and media there. She has also gained her professional experience working for law firms in Poland and the United States. While working for the Polish Office, Agnieszka was engaged or responsible for number of cases which ended with precedential decisions either at administrative stage or judicial stage, including the Supreme Court. Notably, Agnieszka participated in numerous international projects in the area of consumer protection, such as the Polish representation before the European Commission and grant projects of the EU’s network Consumer Protection Cooperation. Moreover, she was involved in the legislative processes related to the Polish and EU regulations.
She advises leading entrepreneurs in various sectors on a wide range of consumer law issues, including the applicable provisions of model contract terms and the legal aspects of marketing activities. She conducts training courses on consumer law, including warranty and guarantee and, most recently, the practical application of the provisions of the Omnibus Directive.
Agnieszka graduated from the Faculty of Law at Warsaw University. She has also completed the Postgraduate Study of Competition Law at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Center for American Law – program of the University of Florida Levin College of Law at the University of Warsaw. Agnieszka is also a qualified mediator in commercial cases and a lecturer at the Postgraduate Study of Consumer Protection Law at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
